This one is a keeper. Looks great — as someone else said, the blue face is nearly black. The watchband isn’t bad — not fabric as shown, but a blue nylon band that looks terrific, though I may eventually swap it out for a deep brown leather band. As for accuracy, here’s my first-24-hours-of-ownership report: it hasn’t lost or gained even one second as against the atomic clock at the Naval Observatory. It’s “old school” technology that so far rivals my Seiko solar-battery quartz watch in accuracy and exceeds it in appearance. The day/date is easy to read, and the luminescence at night is terrific — far easier to read than the Seiko quartz that I bought last year. I thought the 42mm case would look larger on my wrist, but it’s just right. Except for the accuracy, all other comments are obviously subjective judgments that anyone might quarrel with.

Solid watch with a great dial. Grayish blue with a little texture, the applied numerals catch the light and are easy to read. Field watch vibe, but dressed up. I put a tan leather band on it and it’s at a whole new level. I have 12 watches and I wear them all, but this one is on my wrist three out of seven days.

Nothing I dislike. A mechanical movement does not keep time quite as accurately as a battery-powered quartz movement, but Seiko tells you this in their literature. Don’t expect perfect accuracy from a spring-driven movement. That said, I can go weeks without adjusting and be less than one minute off.I wear it all day every day, and it functions perfectly. If you’re not going to wear it (or keep it in a case designed for self-winding watches), this isn’t the watch for you. If you like the old-school movement (and I love the clear case-back) and will wear the watch daily, then this is a great watch. It’s simple, classy, and costs a lot less than most automatics. A great entry-level automatic watch.

After a recent trip to the beach, I realized that I really didn’t have any watches water resistant enough to take with me either to a beach, or even to a neighborhood pool. Something has to change.Enter this watch.Having previously purchased the SNK809, and wearing that for a while, I was looking to upgrade, but I didn’t want something that was going to be too big on my small arm. Good thing that Seiko released a mid-sized watch for normal people.The 100M water resistance is a bonus, and I can attest that it works just fine in pools, at least. It has a “blue saturday” and a “red sunday” in the window, and the overall look of this military-inspired watch is clean and clear. The lume is bright enough to see in the early morning, and the automatic keeps time very well, much better than the SNK809.There’s not much more to say. The included watch band is decent enough, though I’ve replaced it with a series of quick-release bands that I change out depending on how I’m feeling that day, and what I’m doing.Overall, I would recommend it, and I’m happy with my purchase.

I’ve been eyeing this gorgeous time piece for sometime. Comes with a charcoal dial and gold accents. Great size too (38mm) Band width tapers from 20mm to 18mm at the clasp. I changed the clasp to one with extra micro adjustments. Wore it a week and noticed just the watched gained about 2-3 minutes making it 20-30 + sec/day. Love it.

A beautiful watch from a great company.This is my 3rd Seiko watch and they basically last forever.My first “automatic” (self winding) Seiko lasted 25 years, and would probably still be in use, but the hands came loose and nobody will work on it.My second, a Kenetic, lasted 15 years. I didn’t realize a Kenetic has a battery or capacitor and is actually self charging (the self winding mechanism charges the battery). When it started acting up is when I found out it had a battery that was failing. They want $150 to change the battery which is a bit much, so I started looking for a new Kenetic, but guess what, for some reason Seiko has dropped the Kenetic line. I have the battery ($25) and may try to replace it myself.Which brings us to this watch. It is a good looking watch, better in person than in the pictures. The hands are large and contrast nicely with the blue background making it easy for my ageing eyes to see the time. (That was my only complaint with the Kenetic, the thin silver hands could be hard to see against the brushed finish face.)It is an Automatic, Seiko’s term for self winding, which is always a requirement for me. If you aren’t wearing it, once fully wound it will run for almost 2 days before it stops and you have to reset it.The band is good size, I removed 3 links for it to fit me properly there are 9 total that can be removed.It is water resistant to 100m. I haven’t tested this yet but based on my other watches I have no reason to believe it isn’t. I get up in the morning put it on and take it off when I go to bed. I am involved in a lot of water activities, sailboat racing, powerboating, swimming, and doing dishes (LOL). If it fails this I’ll update the review.My only complaint is that it doesn’t come with instructions. I have this complaint with a lot of products these days, for me a QR code so I can read microscopic print on my phone, or carry a tablet or laptop to make it legible is ridiculous. In this case it is worse as the QR takes you to the documentation that is for several different “Calibers” (Seiko’s equivalent of a model number for the movement). The instructions are grouped by function, not Caliber, so you need to scroll through a lot of irrelevant information to find the function (i.e. set the day and date), then make sure you are looking a the right Caliber. Check the description, not the picture, as the picture may not exactly match your watch, and different Calibers can look similar.Bottom line, I only buy Seiko watches due to their functionality and quality. So far this watch is living up to my expectations and I have no reason to believe it won’t for a long time!Oh, and I forgot to mention the price on Amazon was much better than for the same watch at other online vendors and a couple of brick and mortar stores I checked. Go for it!

El reloj es precioso, tanto el dial como la tapa trasera transparente. Estilo clásico, de gran visibilidad y con un reflejo del dial azul muy elegante.El hecho de que venga el día de la semana es muy práctico, aunque además de en inglés (siempre vienen en este idioma) viene en alemán. Esto último no me lo esperaba, pues me pensaba que el segundo idioma del día de la semana sería el español. No me importa porque lo pongo en inglés y listo. Pero de un producto vendido en España y que no se marca como importado de ningún país (como sí hace Amazon con otros productos) debería informarse de esta “sorpresa”, pues es algo que uno no se lo espera. Esta es la única pega que le pongo a la compra, y teniendo en cuenta que no es por el reloj sino por la incompleta descripción del producto.Por otra parte, el calibre 7s26c que monta el reloj es una maravilla. El fabricante informa de un desfase diario máximo de -+20 segundos, que normalmente suelen ser menos (en torno a los -+10). Los calibres 7s26 pueden ser ajustados incluso a unos pocos segundos al día (entorno a 5s). Pues bien, mi reloj sacado directamente de la caja a los tres-cuatro días ya se había estabilizado en +1 segundo al día (la posición de reposo a la noche al no usarlo es con el dial de canto con la corona arriba). Llevo prácticamente un mes con él y sigue con ese desvío medio (0,5-1,2 segundos al día de ganancia), lo cual es increíble para un reloj automático de “iniciación” y una muestra de lo bien que lo hace Seiko con sus calibres de entrada. Y en concreto lo bien que va la versión “C” del calibre 7s26. Eso sí, lo uso a todas horas salvo cuando me lo quito para dormir y ducharme, lo cual también influya en la precisión del mecanismo.En definitiva, todo un acierto y un gran automático por un precio muy asequible.

Orologio che non ha bisogno di presentazioni, legendario movimento automatico Seiko 7S26C, 21 gioielli, 40 ore di riserva di carica, non hackable (senza fermo macchina) e non ricaricabile manualmente. Un movimento con uno storico che supera i quarant’anni.La ri-edizione di questo ‘5’ con dial blu non delude: design senza tempo, che risulta elegante e dal look un poco vintage, spicca su polsi non troppo grandi come un orologio che potrebbe valere molto di più.Da quando lo indosso, nonostante possegga ben più costosi e prestigiosi pezzi, più di una persona ha girato lo sguardo dopo averlo notato al polso.Seiko 5, un grande classico.Lucidatura a specchio, impeccabile, vetro minerale, non zaffiro, ma di ottima qualità.Punto debole, inutile dirlo, è il bracciale che, rispetto a tutto il resto, davvero non regge il paragone con altri Seiko 5 di fascia leggermente superiore (quelli con le alette laterali sul gancio a farfalla per sganciare il bracciale, per intenderci).Acquistato insieme ad un cinturino in vera pelle nera stampato coccodrillo e con chiusura a farfalla (19 millimetri, non sbagliate), fa una figura pazzesca.Fate attenzione all’acqua: essendo un 3 ATM è solo resistente agli schizzi, non immergetevi con lui al polso. Chi lo ha fatto, lamentandosi del risultato, è solo artefice della propria sventura per mano della mancata informazione.Se volete qualcosa di più impermeabile dovrete rivolgervi ad altre edizioni più sportive di inclinazione diver con almeno 5 ATM.Ultimo, ma non per importanza, il giudizio sul movimento 7S26C.Chi ha recensito questo come altri ‘5’ in maniera critica rispetto alle tolleranze non conosce bene gli automatici che, notoriamente, fanno dai 5 ai 15 secondi (più o meno) al giorno di scarto. Sotto i 5 siamo in zona certificazione COSC, acronimo per ‘Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres’.Probabile è che io sia stato particolarmente fortunato, senza dubbio, ma questo SNXS77 avanza di quattro secondi ogni giorno fino a sera, prima di toglierlo per dormire, e si sveglia con 4 secondi in meno la mattina, ovvero dopo sette/otto ore di non ricarica dovuta ad inattività.Non scherzo: l’ho cronometrato con lo smartphone, e in 100 ore di test, ha perso esattamente 1 (UNO) secondo in totale su 100 ore!Inutile dirlo: dapprima la sorpresa, seguita subito dopo dalla soddisfazione di aver incontrato qualcosa di unico.La passione per il movimento deve prescindere dai valori commerciali, questa la mia opinione.Certo, se potete permettervi un Bovet, perché no?Ma non sottovalutate una casa storica come la Seiko: questo ‘5’ è un piccolo, grande orologio, che ha una tradizione storica, una reputazione, un movimento semplice ed efficace e un design vintage senza tempo.Potrebbe essere per voi l’inizio di qualcosa, ad un costo irrisorio.Il perfetto ‘primo’ automatico per chiunque, o una inevitabile nuova presenza che durerà anni nella vostra collezione.Ne ho preso un altro, subito dopo questo, e poi un altro ancora. Tutti diversi per design e specifiche.Caldamente consigliato l’acquisto di un cinturino di pelle, misura 19mm non sbagliate.Compratelo.

This watch only worked for a couple of hours, This has never happrened to me with any of the other 5 Seiko Watches that I have. I’m Also having ongoing problems with the refund 2 months later.If you do buy anything off these people and it breaks – make sure that you keep the postal tracking ID on the receipt. They will try and rip you off by denying that they received the return and demanding the postal tracking ID. Totally dishonourable people – their customer service is absolutely appalling. I don’t know why Amazon lets these people sell stuff under their Brand. They’ll just give them a bad name.

Ich muss ein Mal Bezug auf die Sache mit französischen Wochentag-Anzeigen nehmen.Bezug auf die Uhr nehme ich bewusst nicht. Diese ist uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen.Ich habe die Uhr nun zum sechsten Mal (inkl. aller Ersatzlieferungen) direkt bei Amazon bezogen.Jedes Mal erhielt ich bei der Version mit schwarzem Zifferblatt und Nato- sowie Edelstahlarmband eine Uhr mit französischer Anzeige.Des Weiteren erhielt ich sehr häufig nicht original verpackte Uhren. Mal wurde komplett die falsche Box versendet in der die Uhr gar nicht reinpasste und mal kam die Uhr nur in der Box in Schieferoptik ohne schwarzen Umkarton (siehe Foto) und wurde von Amazon einfach eingeschweißt mit losen Papieren oben drauf. Ebenso erhielt ich definitv zu erkennende Kundenrückläufer (fehlende Folien, Verschmutzungen, Fingerabdrücke, übelst zerdrückte Verpackungen).Auf dem anderen Foto sieht man übrigens, wie die Uhr normalerweise ausgeliefert werden sollte.

40年以上前に父親から買ってもらったセイコー5スポーツ以来の自動巻時計でした。当時の5スポーツも10年以上使って多少塗装部でスレた部分もあり浮気しました。さて今回当製品ですがさすがSEIKOです。購入後10日経ちますが15秒ほど遅れるほどの精度を維持してます。満足です。他にウエーブ時計やヨーロッパの時計など所有してますがコスパでは十分満足しております。海外製は修理や部品の確保に苦労しました。時計は国産が一番良いとの結論で正解です。

Excellent quality. The Seiko version of the “NATO” strap is extremely comfortable. Visibility of the hands for time-telling solved my poor vision issues. It seems to be losing ~ +/- 7 seconds a day…not bad for a watch in this price range and all I need for accuracy – easily adjusted for every few weeks. If you require better accuracy, buy a 40.00 Casio quartz watch. I prefer a mechanical watch that will run for forty years (at least) without needing a battery and paying 600.00+ for +/- 1 second a day accuracy in a mechanical watch is crazy IMO. The ability to manually wind the watch negates the need for a winder. If I wind it 25 times in the morning and the evening – it’s always running.
