The moment I opened the box, it became my favorite watch. It looks very high-end, and has enough weight to it that you know you have a quality timepiece strapped to your wrist. The hands are easy to see, and the constant movement of the second hand is pretty cool. But what makes this watch standout is the automatic winding. When wearing it, every little movement you make winds the watch. For a watch of this caliber, I’d expect to pay more. Excellent value for the money! And in case you didn’t know, Bulova watches were born in NYC. An American watch company. For reference, check out the documentary on Prime Video: America Telling Time: 150 Years of Bulova.I highly recommend.

Es un reloj que ya había visto y seguido en otras tiendas pero por su alto precio no lo había adquirido, hasta que en Amazon Prime Day lo pusieron prácticamente a la mitad de lo que cuesta en una tienda departamental. El acabado es tipo espejo (cromado) tanto en la caja como la correa, así que seguramente habrá que cuidarlo para evitar los rayones. Se percibe con buena sensibilidad al movimiento (es un reloj automático), lo único que no me gustó es que la rosca para ajustar la hora no se atornilla, es decir, que a diferencia de otros relojes Bulova cuya rosca se atornilla hacia el interior del reloj para “sellar”, éste no lo hace, simplemente hay que jalar la rosca hacia afuera para cambiar la hora, lo cual podría hacerlo más susceptible de que se le meta agua o polvo. Por lo demás, se ve excelente. Estoy muy satisfecho con la compra.

This is a skeleton type watch, with a readable dial, unlike other skeleton watches at this price where the skeleton proportion is too big for legibility.

I just received my new Bulova Marine Star Gold faced watch with a silicone strap. The face or watch bezel is both beautiful and easy to read. The Roman style numerals on the face of the watch add a touch of elegance to it. This automatic watch has an open heart which shows both the escapement or balance wheel and mainspring. It has an open or exhibition back so that the wearer can view the movement from both front and back sides of the watch. I happen to know that the movement is a Japanese Myiota movement which is a great and hard working movement. An automatic watch is really a mechanical watch with a rotor attachment which winds the watch while you wear it. The rotor is attached to a small generator which winds the mainspring on the watch with the movement of your wrist during the normal wearing of the watch. Quart watches are a bit more accurate than an automatic watch, but you will never have to replace a watch battery with an automatic watch. In my opinion, the accuracy difference is negligible. The watch came with a 3 year warranty which shows that Bulova backs it’s watches!… My wife and I were dating 47 years ago. My first gift to her was a Bulova mechanical watch which is still working perfectly today with limited amount of use. She rotates her wrist watches. My personal experience with Bulova watch has been a great one. Bulova makes a quality watch which will give it’s owner years of good service. I am a bit of a watch geek, so I know more about watch features and movements than the average purchaser. I am very pleased with the look of the watch and know that it will serve me well for many years to come. You will not be disappointed with a Bulova watch.

It is a beautiful watch. The gold against the black strap is simply gorgeous. I will be changing to a leather black strap though. The open heart is beautiful and the watch bezel’s unique shapes nicely accentuate the entire look of the watch. It is suitable as an elegant watch for formal occasions. I like the fonts on the watch face and the white based hands contrasted nicely against the black face. It is not ostentatious but elegant. It is not a small and its fits nicely on my wrist. It is hard to get an open heart at this price range and Bulova quality is acceptable.

The watch is very beautiful and very precise, considering it is mechanical automatic. An eye catcher, for sure. The band is comfortable. It is more on the sporty/casual line, I would not wear it as a dress watch.
