The Landmark is a great bag in every way. I particularly like that the straps can be packed in. Great quality and build. Comfortable.

The “Deep Khaki” Is actually a diarrhea dark green. The label said Dark Khaki. The liner inside the backpack is baby blue. This item does not look at all like the pictures and in my personal opinion (for what it’s worth) is a very poor color combination. Also… The Darkest Blue, Diarrhea Green aka Deep Khaki, and Hazy Green, all ship to my address but the Dark Forest and Obsidian are restricted from being delivered to my address??? That doesn’t make any sense. I was hoping to exchange for the Obsidian but now I have to keep looking… A very strange, head scratching, ridiculous experience. 2 stars not 1 because it seems like a good product that I would use.

Finally got to use this 40L bag for the first time for a 4-day trip from NJ to CA. If you are a light packer like me, it’s plenty of room for four days of clothes, a toiletry bag, some sandals, a small case of cigars, all of your carry-on essentials in the top compartment, and of course, a laptop. I really appreciate that the access to the main compartment is similar to a traditional suitcase and not like a standard backpack; makes packing and unpacking very easy. The clamshell area is great for carry-on items – I packed a small pouch inside the clamshell with my earbuds, battery bank, and other carry-on essentials which I took out just before putting the pack in the overhead compartment.Fit & Finish:Fit and finish are on par with other Thule brand products. It’s very nice and very well put together. The materials are robust, the stitching is great, and the pull tabs are perfect. I really can’t find any low-quality elements in this bag. The only thing, at least on my bag that is a bit of a bummer is that the hard clamshell top has a dent right in the middle. I can’t tell if that’s a design element or a flaw – it doesn’t look like it’s supposed to be there.Overall it’s a super nice bag. Perfect for light-packers and shorter trips. A bag that is very well made and that will probably outlast me and my random short trips

This bag is soooooo nice. The color is perfect, first of all, but feature-wise, it has the best of all worlds for several different types of trip. First, it’s got super comfy straps and lumbar strap, so you could use this thing for trekking and hiking for sure. Second, it opens completely on the back, so it’s an ideal travel pack, working a lot like a duffel bag rather than a backpack. And as far as I can see, it’s a standard size for carryon. Lastly, the many pockets and the special section at the top with a semi-stiff shell, makes it a great backpack for school/office use – plenty of room for all the cords and laptop. So this bag is super nice. It’s not too big and not too small. I really want to keep it, but it might be too nice for me and might end up as a christmas present to someone I really love.

What a nice backpack. First I really like the deep khaki color, it’s like a dark brown, it’s a perfect compliment to the rest of my gear. The bag is comfortable to wear, even with a decent load, it’s got nicely padded shoulder straps, a generous, sturdy hip belt, and a semi rigid frame sheet in the back to give it structure. It’s got great features too; the zippers are excellent quality, the straps and hip belt stow away and you can convert it to a duffel bag, and the over sized safe zone has a TON of space compared to most bags. This is perfect for a 3 day weekend, or perhaps longer if you’re an ultra minimalist. I’m thrilled with this bag and can’t recommend it enough for anyone who’s a regular or occasional traveler.
