This is a great looking watch. It’s both dressy and sporty, so you can wear it with casual or dress clothes. Like my other Marine Star, it’s solid and fairly heavy. It feels like a quality time piece that could easily be worth several times its price. The gold on the band is slightly inset in a groove, so it’s less likely come into contact with things and wear or scratch. Overall, the gold accents add a nice touch. The only thing I would advise is if you have small wrists, say 6″ to 6-1/2″, the band may be a bit large. The watch shop took out as many links as they could, but it still fits a tad loose for my liking (if my wrists were a bit larger it wouldn’t be a problem). Ideally I should just change the band, but I like the watch the way it came.

I like watches. I try to collect a few mid range watches ranging from $200 to about $900. I like, and own, some Citizen and Tissot watches including the Citizen atomic time Blue Angels World Chronograph watch. Granted this Bulova 98H37 does not synchronize its timekeeping to atomic time, but its accuracy is nonetheless amazing. But the reason I got this watch is the history and technological achievements that Bulova has to its story. Not many watch companies have been around over 100 years. Bulova has. In 1960 Bulova invented a “tuning fork” technology and put it in its Accutron watches fully replace the standard balance wheels used in watches up to that time. The tuning fork mechanism for timing accuracy put Bulova in the record books as having invented the very first technically “electronic watch”. But it was the mechanisms unprecedented accuracy that attracted NASA to start using Bulova’s timing technology in its space program for various mission timers, etc, including a timer in the moon missions during the Apollo programs. Bulova already had a great reputation for government use since its watches were used to supply the US Military with watches in World War II. Of course, the tuning fork accuracy is a bit dated now, but it is amazing that some people are claiming that there Bulova Marine Star watches like mine are almost exactly as accurate as their atomic time updated Citizen Blue Angel watches … even after up to 8 months of running in between setting and checking dates. This history, together with the continued focus on accuracy and engineering excellence, is what sold me on my new Marine Star. The fact that Bulova is now owned by Citizen is the icing on the cake since, as of this review, Citizen makes the most accurate watch on the planet, and Citizen watches themselves are some of the most well designed in the segment of men’s watches. In 2014 Bulova announced it would no longer use its Tuning Fork logo on any of its watches except for it’s Accutron II watches as a touchstone nod to history. So it began phasing out the tuning fork logo from 2014 to 2016. If your Marine Star watch has a tuning fork logo on the dial, it’s because it was “new old stock” that had been manufactured before the end of the tuning fork logo, and yet some of those Marine Star watches manufactured before the logo’s end were still new, and thus sold as new, for years later. I really like my blue dial/gold accented Marine Star. I was worried the gold might be a little over the top, but the actual appearance of the watch is far more tasteful with the somewhat subdued gold accents. It looks extremely elegant and yet can go equally well with casual, sport or dress occasions. I’m very pleased.

Super-máquina. A mídia não pôde ser carregada. Apesar de ter passado um dissabor com a entrega, valeu muito ter aguardado.O relógio é uma máquina espetacular. Pessoalmente, é mais bonito ainda. É aquele relógio que, por mais que você não queira, ele chama a atenção.O design dele é perfeito! Os detalhes em ouro rosa fazem toda a diferença. O fundo azul, da um ar mais leve e reflete bem com as partes douradas. Tem detalhes em aço escovado, na caixa, o fecho tbm tem um aço diferenciado.Quanto ao manuseio das funções do relógio, também, não achei nada de difícil compreensão. Na caixa vem as instruções básicas – demais informações podem ser obtidas no site oficial da Bulova; acompanha certificado de garantia e uma case bem maneira.Deixo aqui minha indicação para quem tiver interessado no relógio. Podem comprar sem medo!

This watch is a showstopper smoking deal at $459 Canadian 22% off on sale the price tag on the watch when I got it said $825 I absolutely love the watch gorgeous ocean blue face is what I love the most among many other things. It’s a 200m diving watch you know it’s gonna be durable definitely has some weight to it which I love it’s well built and you know it. It’s Bulova glow in the dark minute hands is an added bonus 🙂

I never write product reviews, but couldn’t resist for this watch. It is fantastic. The yellow color and texture of the face is amazing, the smooth movement and shape and size are excellent. It looks like a much more expensive watch than it is. It even comes with a quick release band for an easy change. It is already my favorite watch.

Absolutely perfect. The textured yellow dial plays nicely in the light, and the precisionist movement sweeps along majestically. For a Quartz powered watch, it doesn’t get much better. The design incorporates plenty of black elements, such as the strap – but the polished black bezel really looks fantastic and contrasts the yellow really well. The dial itself, combined with the bezel, gives it a larger presence on the wrist, but it can still suit a smaller wrist. I’m always impressed with Bulova designs for the price they are, and this is no different. Great value.

I have many watches from Omegas, Citizens, Bulovas, to Invicta Pro Diver watches. As you may know, repairing high-quality Omega watches can cost hundreds of dollars and Invicta watches may be fun to wear and are great values, they just seem to lack the prestige factor many of us long for. The Bulova line, especially my Marine Star collection, offer great value, high-quality, and I feel very proud when wearing them. Best of all worlds. This particular watch is stunning. The blue dial and bezel are bold enough to catch your attention and the thickness and the case design are actually perfect for my wrist. I love the gold and bright silver color combination. Highly recommended.

My watch collection is very small as I’ve only started the past couple of years. This piece is my first Bulova and was an anniversary gift from my wife, and it has immediately made it to the top of my list.I was eagerly awaiting for it to arrive after purchasing it on sale on Prime Day, a great deal at 30% off. The presentation was nice, a beautiful gift box that was very satisfying to open. It makes a very nice gift and makes a great first impression.The watch itself has beautiful blue that contrasts very nicely against the gold. I typically don’t go for gold, but the combination is very eye catching. The red inlays on the hands are very nice, with my only complaint being that the red date can be hard to see at times. Overall, it’s not too busy – I find many watches try too hard and get away from the function of easily seeing the time at a glance. Note that the hand you would expect to be the second hand is used for the chronograph (stop watch) function. I’ve read that many people are initially confused by this but I researched and knew in advance.The strap is thick and comprised of blue leather (in the middle along the top) and silicone (sides and bottom). The red stitching is gorgeous and stands out while tying in the design and colour schemes of the face. The thickness surprised me, but none more than the comfort! You very quickly forget that you are wearing a watch, and I feel that the combination of materials will help the durability, which is what I see lacking in other watches/straps that I own.This is not a Rolex, but I will never own a Rolex. Its style matches me, it catches my eye and at the sale price I couldn’t be happier with the purchase. This will not be the only Bulova I will own, but I couldn’t be happier with my first foray into this brand.

Tengo varios Bulova y este es de mis favoritos. Me encanta el color azul de la caratula y el dorado muy brillante. Si es un reloj que te lo ven.Lo probé una hora nadando y funcionó perfecto pero tardó en secar la correa de piel, porque si absorbe agua… mejor No lo usaré en la alberca para que dure más…pero 100% feliz con mi compra.
