Esse modelo é muito apreciado por causa da sua excepcional relação custo x benefício para sua faixa de preço ( +/- US$30 ) – ou seja – ele é tão simples e barato que até a janela do visor é de acrílico!
Mesmo assim, ele oferece horário mundial, 5 alarmes, cronômetro progressivo e regressivo, resistênte à água até 100m /10ATM e bateria de 10 anos.
E como é de se esperar de um Casio baratinho, seu painel LCD não é eletroluminescente e sim iluminado por 2 LEDs laranja.
Isso até contribui para o seu visual retro futurista que grita anos 1980 🤖 e apesar dele ser cheio informações, seu layout não é muito congestionado e é de fácil leitura.
Quem preferir um visual mais “moderno” também existe o modelo AE1000W com caixa redonda e na mesma faixa de preço.
Fora isso, vale a pena observar que a Casio também vende uma versão na cor prata com pulseira de inox ( AE1200WHD-1A ), mas sua caixa não é de metal e sim de resina.
Resumindo: Trata-se de um relógio casual simples, meio vintage, prático, funcional, leve, confortável, relativamente barato e que não chama muito a atenção da bandidagem.

Unique display that shows 2 time zones at the same time. The radar looking circular display is your home time zone, the rectangular digital display can show 3 other time zones; selectable by pressing the bottom right button.
There’s a cute tiny world map too. I remember when I was studying Geography, a test question was to draw the shape of countries from memory. This will give u a clue.
Size of the watch is just right for a 6.5″ boy sized wrist. Not too puny looking.
The strap is unique. At the hinge end, it has “stoppers” that holds the watch nicely centred on the wrist; just like G-Shocks. Without the “stoppers”, the watch would tend to fall to the outer wrist unless one straps it really tight. The free loop also stays in place as there are little protrusions at the rear of the strap.
Only time will reveal the durability of the strap. In any case if it breaks, one can easily replace it with an unbreakable 18mm nylon NATO strap.
Got it a great price of S$20. Could be old stock that was left at the sellers place for many years but changing the battery would be a breeze. It uses 4 tiny screws. One doesn’t need any specialize watch openers and the coin battery is expected to cost $2 at most.
If the watch “glass” gets scratched up, a little rubbing with Polywatch would clear it up.
