Mellow yellow is pastel yellow. It’s a very pretty color. When I used it with the brand’s base coat and topcoat, the polish lasted for almost a week before it started to chip on one of my nails. I waited about 20-30 minutes between each coat of polish to dry before I placed on the next layer (1 layer of the base coat, 2 layers of mellow yellow, and 1 layer of the topcoat). When I placed on the topcoat to seal the nail polish, I avoided getting water on it for at least 1-2 hours. Although the drying time took forever, I believed it helped the polish stay on for almost a week. (By the way, base coats are important in protecting your nail from straining and being damaged by the nail polish.)
Why did I choose this nail polish (even though other brands sell the same color for less)?
I chose this nail polish because I wanted to use a non-toxic nail polish. Compared to other non-toxic nail polish brands, this one is probably one of safest and most affordable one out there. This nail polish has the leaping bunny logo. For anyone who is unfamiliar with the logo, the leaping bunny is consider a global gold standard for cruelty-free and the most reliable one out there. Other cruelty-free symbols are pretty much fake, including products with the PETA Cruelty-Free logo. Almost any business can get the PETA Cruelty-Free logo by simply filling out a form. However, that is not the case for brands with the leaping bunny symbol. Brands with the leaping bunny symbol have to agree to audits to verify if their claim is true, and certifications are renewed annually.
Anyway, products with the leaping bunny symbol also tend be safe and non-toxic as well, which is why I decided to buy this brand of nail polish, even though other brands may sell a similar color for less. For me, I think it’s best to consider safety and health now in order to avoid possible health issues that may arise later on.
Packaging: I received it in a small box. The nail polish was thoroughly cushioned and protected by bubble wraps that was further cushioned by tissue paper.

I was on the hunt for a less toxic polish and opted for this brand because they had the closest color to what I was looking for (Juice Cleanse). It is the tiniest bit lighter than I was expecting but I don’t mind too much.
I thought maybe the fumes from a cleaner polish wouldn’t be so bad but boy was I wrong, the odor is still quite strong.
Before buying this I saw a review going off on how bad the brush was so I was worried about that but it wasn’t as bad as I expected. There bristles were a little uneven but it spread the polish on just fine. And it evens itself out as it starts to dry.
I can’t say anything about how fast it dries because I coupled this with Ella + Mila’s “In A Rush” clear top coat which dries pretty quickly. I mean I did one hand and then the other, and then by the time I was done with the second hand, it was dry enough for me to do a second coat on the first hand, but I couldn’t tell you how long it takes to cure. I only needed two coats, I was pretty happy with the thickness of this polish and the way it smooths itself out.
HOWEVER less than 24 hours later I noticed my first chip on my right index finger and then a couple hours later a whole piece just fell off my ring finger when I wasn’t even doing anything. And then by the end of the day, the tip of the polish on my index started peeling from my nail entirely. I’m converting from Essie and I’m used to that polish lasting about 3 days before showing any chips, without a top coat, and this polish DID have a top coat and started chipping on day 2?? I’m pretty disappointed as I was pleased with the experience of painting my nails with this polish. But if all my hard work isn’t even gonna last a full day, I don’t think I’ll be buying a second bottle :/

Dear Nailtopia,
Your nail polish is among the top few high quality polishes I have ever encountered (and, I have tried many). BUT, the brush is of such terrible design and quality that it’s unexpressible. It’s not possible to really have control of the polishing process (and the polish that goes onto the nail). The brush (an auxiliary part of the product) ruins the actual product.
I haven’t been able to decide whether high quality brands like Nailtopia or Deborah Lippmann use this kind of brush because they think it’s good (hint: it’s not), or because this is how they try to save on costs, and think that they can just take their customers for fool
(hint: not possible in the long term).
The brush is the only reason I don’t buy Deborah Lippmann any more. The Nailtopia brush is one step less terrible, but still terrible. Please just buy any Zoya nail polish, and copy their brush, and use that kind of brush in Nailtopia bottles. Then the Nailtopia polish will immediately become a pure 5-star, all-around excellent nail polish.
I am even willing to pay a little more for it if that’s what it takes.

Really wanted to love this one, but its just as patchy as any other white nail polish. Tried it with my best base and top coats (which make my essie colours flawless), but it didnt work on Nailtopia unfortunately.
its a nice colour but i wont be testing any more colours here
