The bar of soap is very beautiful with three shades of colot but I smelled no grapefruit at all. I could nit take the
smell, it is too overwhelming for me. Then I remembered the smell! I have smelled it before and had the same reaction. Now I will remember that I do not like the smell of Ylang Ylang. It is supposed to be very good for your skin but I do not want to have the scent! Will give to my husband to see what he thinks or feels about it.

I didn’t know what ylang ylang was but I love the smell of grapefruit, so I thought this soap would be great. Apparently, I don’t like the smell of ylang ylang 🙁
I read the label and didn’t see it anywhere, but the smell reminds me of patchouli…another scent I don’t like. Since I didn’t like the smell, I only used this soap once, so I can’t really say much about anything else about the soap.

I like the scent of the soap, my problem is that it’s gone once you leave the shower. It’s also not particularly moisturizing. I think this soap might be better suited as a hand soap bar. The bar is very pretty and multicolored, and it lathers well. I prefer scents that stay with you longer and I was excited by the grapefruit in this. Unfortunately it didn’t stick with me.

This Luxiny Grapefruit & Ylang Ylang soap, I was not able to look over the ingredients when I ordered the soap since they were not listed here on this listing. The listing may have been updated by the time I post this review, if not, I have enclosed a photo of the back of the soap bar’s packaging, where it lists the ingredients. I was happy when the soap arrived, and I was able to look at the ingredients, that there wasn’t a lot of, “Fluff” in the soap, and it was pretty natural.
The scent is there, Grapefruit and Ylang-Ylang, but it’s not too strong, not overpowering. It’s not weak, either. The scent is at a good level. The Grapefruit and Ylang-Ylang are also well balanced, I don’t notice one fragrance overpowering the other fragrance much, and they do compliment each other.
The soap works like other natural soap bars I use, nothing new. It’s soap, it cleans. I didn’t break-out or anything. All is well!
This soap is nice for what it is, I had no issues with it, though the price is up there, pricey, compared to other natural soaps I buy.

This is a very pretty bar of soap with its multiple, different colored layers, and it a gentle soap. It’s really quite nice. I like the ylang ylang/grapefruit scent, and I don’t think it’s too strong. In fact, after using the bar for a few days, I wish it were a little stronger. When you first unwrap it. it smells stronger, but that dissipates. I really like that it is vegan and cruelty free.
My only issue is that I can’t find weight listed anywhere. Am I just overlooking it? I realize that artisanal soaps may vary a bit, but a listed minimum weight would be helpful. Although the different layers are pretty, I’d prefer that the bar had maybe one fewer layer but was thicker, but that’s just personal preference.
I get those big ol’ honkin’ packs of mainstream soap for my husband because that is what he likes, but this soap is a small luxury just for me.
