I got these tactical boots, though they’re marketed as military, police, and army boots, I rock them every day! They’re surprisingly lightweight and tough, and the grip is amazing with no slips and slides.

I’ve worn them in some rainy weather and they held up great. Now, I wouldn’t go trekking in a blizzard in them, but for everyday rain or snow, they may be ok. Cleaning them is easy, you can even polish them if you like.

I’m on my feet all day, and these boots are comfortable. The laces are strong and easy to tie, and the ankle support is fantastic.

These boots are generally well made with good materials and stitchwork. The sole is attached well to the bottom and overall breathability and flexibility is really good. These do not provide a lot of ankle support like stiff all-leather boots might provide which may be a factor worth considering depending on needs. For me there is just enough support where I get the ankle and shin protections from these boots with enough flexibility to comfortably walk or hike.

The advertised size, 9.5in in my case, is a perfect fit on the U.S. shoe size scale. I would say there is still a little room in the toe box area which is actually nice and does not feel squeezed in. If walking in these boots for considerable distances I highly recommend gel or soft inserts as there is not much shock absorption by default with these. However that said, the materials used for these boots make them feel very light weight and barely noticeable as boots compared to normal shoes. There is a noticeable paint-like smell when these were first opened but that smell quickly went away after a day of degassing. The quality of the coating seems good however and is not bleeding out with exposure to water.

Overall, these are good quality boots that could really only use some additional insole padding for comfort. These are much lighter than previous military-like boots I have used in the past and due to the combination of leather and cloth these break in fairly quickly.

I was so shocked when these boots arrived at my doorstep not in a shoebox but tightly wrapped together using some protective material and tape. The package was small and the boot uppers were rolled down so I had no idea what the item was that I was about to unbox. When I initially opened the package it smelled strongly of rubber (assuming it is from the rubber soles of the boot) and to this day (3 weeks later) they still have a faint rubber smell to them.

The boots themselves seem to be pretty high quality although they are a bit thin. The canvas upper is nice and allows a lot of flexibility of the ankles yet is light weight and breathable. The bottom half of the shoe is made using leather and rubber for the soles. I will say that one complaint I have is that for “tactical boots” the shoelaces provided are pretty cheap feeling and seem like they would fall apart easily. Luckily that is easy to replace.

The pair are light weight on the feet and very comfortable to me. The toe box has some type of rigid material that can potentially prevent toe crushing although it is nothing like a steel-toe and can get crushed easily without too much pressure. Nice add-on nonetheless. There are two vented holes on the inside facing exterior of the shoes which could be good for breathability but they are placed really low on the boot and I can definitely see water or mud seeping through those holes.

Overall these are nice lightweight tactical looking boots for the price. I like the added hardened toebox and they feel nice on the feet. I think these would be great for light duty use out on the field or as a fashion statement but I would not use these to treck any specialized terrains.
