I have two other pairs of S2Vs that have lasted really well and fit my wide feet perfectly. Decided to get an insulated version for cold weather. Sized up due to warnings in other reviews. Not only are they way too small on the inside (the exterior is still bigger than my other S2Vs), the sewn-in insulation doesn’t fit and is bunched around the toe box – in one, it sharply digs upward from the bottom. They clearly do not account for the insulation in sizing. The in-soles that come with also don’t fit – they were jammed in poorly, to the point where they remained warped in their jammed-in shape after I took them out (see photos). The outer of the boots is also oddly warped and lumpy, and the front of one where the outsole meets the goretex toe box is peeling away and looks like it’s been hot glued (there’s a gap filled with glue). Shockingly poor quality from what I’m used to from Rocky. Wouldn’t pass inspection. Will never buy from them again.

I have several pairs of Rocky Boots. Switched from Bates and very happy with Rocky. They have several made in the US if you check their site. I wear a 9.5 wide for all my Rocky boots so I ordered the same for these. Way way too narrow and my toes hit the end. I don’t think they account for all the insulation. It’s thick. I returned. I did buy another pair of these, but I had to order a full size larger. They are high quality and US made. Are they worth the cost? Debatable…but they are very warm and far better than the other brands you find on the store shelves. They are also a tad on the heavy side, but not terribly so. Break in took maybe ten hours of wear time, so that was nice.
