I bought these, then ended up buying the other colors too. They fit really well, especially with the drawstring. Depending on the brand of pants, I wear anything from a 32W-36W for the waist and 30L-32L for length, and I ordered these in Large.

For me, they go right above the knee after the first wash. They’re about mid knee when they first came in the mail. Side pockets are big enough for a modern smartphone. My iPhone 6s Plus fit in my front pocket, along with my slim wallet, no problem. There are also two back pockets for you who put your wallet back there, though they’re rather small, so you likely wouldn’t be able to fit a modern smartphone back there.

I especially like the cargo pockets how they’re just flaps and the pockets themselves are inside the shorts, rather than outside. The flaps, by the way, are secured by a single snap fastener, not velcro or buttons. The cargo pockets themselves are rather small, probably big enough for a small phone, wallet, or keys, but for me they’re just for show rather than actually carrying things. About as much pocket space as the back pockets. The flaps also make the shorts more streamlined, less baggy, and more fitting compared to other cargo shorts out there where the cargo pockets are on the outside. The tapered slim fit is really good too. The legs don’t stick out a couple inches on the sides like regular fit shorts, so these make you look less dorky.

Quality-wise I’d give these a pass. They had a few stray threads here and there which were easy to just cut. I haven’t had any problems with ripping or seams breaking yet. The drawstrings themselves say “Cloth” on the ends, so I don’t know if that’s good or bad, but they’ve held up well over the past couple weeks of regular use.

Overall, these are a great value, and have a great look, especially for the price. Wish there were more colors though.
