These are great! Wide toe box for bunions. I wore these for 18 hours for 3 days for break in. I can’t even ware tennis shoes for that long! Use baby powder to stop the squeak! ( Cuz they aren’t really “tactical” with the squeak…lol). They accidentally sent me size 12 when I needed size 11, but I kept them and they fit great. I also ordered the brown suede at size 11 and they fit also. The suede did not need baby powder.

After only three months of daily use the zipper on these boots constantly pops open no matter how loose you leave the laces. Very disappointing lifespan. Would NOT recommend to any worker of tough physical trades. Really aren’t water resistant either. They were pretty comfortable and supportive for 2-3 months though.

I wear a 4E shoe and these are truly 4E. They are light and super comfortable. Only bought because all the other reviews said the same and it’s true. No rips or anything after 3 months of wear, but only wearing 1-2x a week. Will definitely buy again hopefully not for a long time.

I wish someone had posted this before I bought them. Or at least in the item description / pics.
The thing I love most about side zip boots is the ease of putting them on / taking them off. Just open the zipper and the boot flays open with more than enough room to slide the foot in / out without ever needing to untie the laces.
Well, that’s not the case with these boots. There is a fabric flap that connects both sides of the boot, so when you unzip it all the way, it does NOT fully open to allow room for your foot to slide in. You would still need to tie / untie them on every use. I guess the flap allows a little more room to wedge your foot in, but you definitely aren’t just slipping these on / off like most side zip boots.
Aside from that, they are super comfortable. Bates is the gold standard of work boots. I work in a school setting, so I walk on concrete floors all day, and Bates feels like I’m wearing sneakers.
